TINA – The Tina Turner Musical is rollin’ into Sydney in May 2023. Direct from Broadway and the West End, this smash hit musical phenomenon is a celebration of an unstoppable woman who became the Queen of Rock n’ Roll.

Rising star Ruva Ngwenya, one of musical theatre’s most sought-after performers, will star as Tina Turner with further casting to be announced.

Featuring morer than 20 iconic songs including, “Simply The Best,” “What’s Love Got To Do With It" and “Proud Mary,” this story is a celebration of joy, passion and resilience.

• TINA - The Tina Turner Musical first premiered in London at the Aldwych Theatre in April 2018 and opened on Broadway in November 2019. The Australian premiere will open from March 2023 at the iconic Theatre Royal Sydney

• The American-born singer and actress chose to give up her American citizenship in 2013 after becoming a citizen of Switzerland.

• Audiences should know that they’re in the most-competent jukebox hands with English talented director and producer Phyllida Lloyd, best known for directing one of the most universally beloved jukebox shows of all time, Mamma Mia! and film The Iron Lady starring Meryl Streep.

• TINA - The Tina Turner Musical marks the first foray into libretto for award-winning book writer Katori Hall who made history as the first Black woman to win the Olivier Award for Best New Play in 2010 for The Mountaintop.
